1970 Seiko Rally Diver 6106 - 8227

Seiko produced no shortage of sport divers in the late 60's and 70's, but none so memorable and as sought after as those that carry the "Rally" distinction. So named for their checkered bezels and dials, they are an instantly recognizable combination of color and cool. This example from July 1970 is no exception. The dial is matt black with stepped applied markers and large luminous plots. The luminous material is the original and has some darkening around the edges. The minute track is comprised of baby blue and white blocks. The hour and minute hands are broad batons with a black stripe through the centre.

This watch looks and runs like new, and comes with a replacement Seiko branded silicone straps in both black (fitted) and blue.
